He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Kekerix and Tena Van Kekerix (Van Holland); his parents-in-law, John and Dorothy De Boer; his sister Marlys Van Kekerix; and his siblings-in-law, Ivan De Boer, George Walters, Ken Louwerse and Gloria De Boer.

He is survived by: his wife Deloris De Boer (Lori); his children, Steve (Teresa) of Melvin, Seth of Rapid City and Kayla (Jeremy Garner) of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, Shealyn, Maddox, Daneyl, Sierra and Ayden; his great grandchildren, Camden and Rylee; his siblings, Eugene Van Kekerix (Marge) of Sioux Falls and Barbara Van Otterloo (Sherwin) of Rock Valley, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Ken De Boer, Hermina Louwerse of Orange City, Marge Van Kekerix of Sioux Falls, Donna Walters of Madison and Arlis De Boer of Sioux Center, Iowa.
