She was predeceased by: her parents, Eilert Bloemendaal and Pearl Bloemendaal of Doon; her husband Peter Vande Stroet; her siblings, Joyce Ver Mulm and Ken Bloemendaal; her parents-in-law, Gilbert and Nellie Vande Stroet; her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Vande Stroet, Bernice Hamiton, Rick Vande Stroet, Gerrit Van Veldhuizen, Cornie Van Beek and Henry Ter Wee; her granddaughter Courtney Engeltjes (Trevor); and her great grandchild Kasey Engeltjes.
She is survived by: her friend Ruth Elaine Vande Stroet; her children, Jennifer Bakeberg (Scott) of Lino Lakes, Michael Vande Stroet (Carmen) of Hull, Julie Van Voorst (Chad) of Rock Valley and Loren Vande Stroet (Mellisa) of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Trevor Engeljtes, Jenna Waring (Zane), Michaela Vande Stroet (Jesse Zeutenhorst), Kyra Rauscher (Tate), Hannah Metzger (Levi), Reid Vande Stroet (Ashlie Saavedra), Tyler Van Voorst (Jordan), Blaine Van Voorst, Lathan Van Voorst, Makena Bakeberg, Thad Vande Stroet, Brett Bakeberg, Amaya Van Voorst and Taryn Vande Stroet; her sisters, Irene Ter Wee of Larchwood and Harriet Van Beek (Cornelius) of Sioux Center, Iowa; and her siblings-in-law, Denise Vande Stroet (Rick) of Oskaloosa, Jeanette Van Beek (Gerard) of Inwood, Iowa and Robert Ver Mulm (Jeanne) of Sioux Center, Iowa..
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home - Rock Valley (1704 15th St, Rock Valley, IA 51247). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Reformed Church of Rock Valley (1501 16th St, Rock Valley, IA 51247).
