He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Willa; and his siblings, Ralph Jager, Harry "Bud" Jager Jr. (Anne), Geneva Tucker (Ellis), Betty Vipond, Lois Plueger (Ken), Gordon Jager (Avis) and Robert "Bob" Jager.
He is survived by: his wife Margie; his siblings, Mary Marienau of Hawarden, Jim Jager (Verna) of Hazel Green and Ruth Benda (Harlan) of Hawarden; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Beer (Howard), Jim Breugem (Zoe), Gertrude Scott (Eldred), Millie Sorlye (Ron), John Breugem and Glenda Jager. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
