With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ronald E. Treiber of Rock Valley, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ronald left this world on January 2, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Treiber and Evelyn Treiber (Wasser); his sister LeAnn Swift; his brothers-in-law, James Vock and Benjamin "Bud" Brown; his nephew Jeff Vock; his great-nephew Eric Curiel; and also, Benjamin and Betty Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Brian Treiber (Terri) and Tricia Diefendorf (Tom); his grandchildren, Jonathan Treiber (Dylan), Kory Diefendorf (Brook Benes), Katy Kirkebak (Joseph) and Madison McCreadie (Kaimana); his great grandchildren, Jamie Jane Kirkebak, Kollynns Marie Diefendorf and Charlie June Treiber; his sisters, Karen Vock and Cindy Lynott (Jim); and his brother-in-law Brian Swift (Ann). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alcester United Church of Christ (602 Mitchell Dr, Alcester, SD 57001). A prayer was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
