We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Rodney W. Schmidt of Rock Valley, Iowa, born in Canton, South Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen DeBaere (Schmidt) and Wayne Schmidt; his daughters, Shannon Chapman of Ponder and Alexandra Beyer of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his siblings, Gary Schmidt (Dee) of Aurora, Colorado, Lori Burow (Greg) of Harvard, IL, Sue Yeninas (Barry) of Crystal Lake, IL and Cindy Foley; his nephew Ryan Hilberg; and his son-in-law Kurt Bluhm. He was also cherished by 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandsons; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Stephen C. Jenson Endowment at Minnesota State University Mankato.
