He is survived by: his brothers, Ken Van Engen (Connie) of Kansas City and Kevin Van Engen (Bonnie) of Hull, Iowa; and his nieces and nephews, Meagan Driesen (Alex), Caitlin Van Engen, Brandon Van Engen (Ashley), Reid Van Engen (Bekah), Mitchell Van Engen and Tyler Van Engen. He is also survived by three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
