He is survived by: his wife Lila; his daughter Paula Van Dam (Mark) of Edgerton; his grandchildren, Katie Van Dam, Jacob Van Dam (Mikaya Herdle) and Joshua Van Dam; his daughter Julie Van Beek (Jason) of Crawford; his grandchildren, Kristin May (Tim) and Levi Van Beek; his son Michael Clapp (Jennie) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Emily Clapp and Brooks Clapp; his brother David Clapp (Carolyn) of Federal Way, Washington; and also, Nelson Vander Pol (Joan), Myron Vander Pol (Gladys), Vernon Vander Pol (Mina), Wilmar Vander Pol (Christine) and Warren Vander Pol (Pat). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
