He is survived by: his parents, Howard Ginkel and Avonne Van Ginkel (Klomp); his wife Cris Van Ginkel; his sons, Karter and Castiel; his siblings, Renae Remer (Dan) and Neil Van Ginkel (Nauva); his nieces and nephews, Alanna, Stella, Gavin, Leo and Logan; his grandmothers, Clazina Van Ginkel, Helen Klomp and Cris; his father-in-law José Sausen; his brother-in-law Carmo Sausen; and his nephew Fernando.
The family prefers memorials be directed to the Sioux County Sportsmen's Club in Sioux Center in honor of Nick's love for the outdoors.
