She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hoogeveen and Clara Hoogeveen (Bick); her husband Robert Vincent LeMonds; her siblings, Gwendolyn Ditzel, James Hoogeveen and Jack Hoogeveen; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Ditzel and Delores Hoogeveen.

She is survived by: her children, Janet Steenblock (Robert) of Fremont, Eloise DeKam (Robert) of Doon, Robert "Bob" LeMonds of Doon, Marilyn VandeKop (Brant) of Rock Rapids and Beverly Vande Vegte (Darrell) of Doon; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Hoogeveen and Ivy Bolt. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Muriel's family prefers memorials be directed to the First Community Church of Hope in Doon.
