She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter Wielenga and Lydia Wielenga (Vanden Bosch); her husband Henry Paul Van Bemmel; her parents-in-law, Albert and Gertie Van Bemmel; her siblings, Jake Wielenga (Kathryn), Tillie Van Voorst (John), Henrietta Hansen (Gene) and Lyda Tamminga (Jim); and her siblings-in-law, Marie Van Dam, John Van Den Top, Leonard Van Bemmel (Ruth) and Alvin Van Bemmel.
She is survived by : her daughters, Kristi Wierenga (Rodney), Jill Van Baren (Ross), Rachel Nikkel (Nathan), Jessica Van Dyke (Ed), Marisa Herrema (Austin) and Bonnie Wiersma (Harm) of Rock Valley; her grandchildren, Carisa Maassen (Brent), Ryan Wiersma (Kyla), Nolan Wiersma (Katie), Evan Wiersma (Sarah) and Stephanie Elgersma (Jeff); her child Verlyn Van Bemmel (Sandy) of Rock Valley; her grandchildren, Alyssa Anderson (Greg), Katie Burgers (Bryan) and Austin Van Bemmel (Hannah); her daughter Susan Hoekstra (Jeff) of Sioux Center; her grandsons, Caleb Hoekstra (Whitney), Dylan Hoekstra (Lacey), Seth Hoekstra and Ethan Hoekstra (Summer); and her siblings-in-law, Gert Van Den Top of Hull, Wilma Van Bemmel of Doon, Marion Van Bemmel (Carol) of Luverne and Jack Van Dam of Edgerton, Minnesota.. She is also survived by 39 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
