He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Meer and Jeanette Ver Meer (Mulder); his parents-in-law, Arie and Annie Beckman; his sister Ruth Ver Meer; his nieces, Lisa Vander Esch and Lori Hamstra; his brother-in-law Gene Vander Hamm; his grandson Conner Wilde; his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Nilda Ver Meer; his sister Marilyn Hoekema; and his nephew Jimmy Ver Meer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Beckman; his children, Kurtis, Genelle Ver Meer of Leesburg, Virginia and Kurt (Lyla Ver Meer) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Destiny Ver Meer, Katlyn Ver Meer, Karissa Ver Meer and Noah Wilde; his great grandchild Axl Kenneth Sankey; his siblings, Gert Vander Hamm of Sioux Center, Iowa and Jim (Elaine "Chris" Ver); his brother-in-law Paul Hoekema of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and also, Art Moss and Ken. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
