He is survived by: his wife Mary DeRuyter; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine DeRuyter of Spirit Lake, Marcy Chapman-Ahrens (Greg) of Jackson, Minnesota, Ed DeRuyter (Rose) of Rock Valley and Rich DeRuyter (Rebecca) of Verona, Missouri. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
