He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoef and Rena Vande Hoef (Den Boer); his former wife Betty De Bruin; his granddaughter Katie Hoogendoorn; his great grandchild Connor Rozeboom; his brother Ron Vande Hoef; his parents-in-law, Albert, Henrietta De Bruin, John and Henrietta Driesen; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Vande Hoef, Irvin Loeffler, John De Bruin, Betty De Bruin, Sue De Bruin, Doris De Bruin, Gerrit Koenen, Edwin Driesen, Harvey Driesen and Harold Driesen.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Driesen; his children, Jim Vande Hoef (Tami) of Worthing, Tami Hoogendoorn (Perry) of Doon, Kevin Driesen (Janice) of Hull, Brian Vande Hoef (Kris) of Rock Valley, Amy Koedam (Kenny) of Inwood and Jaron Vande Hoef (Anne) of Sioux Center, Iowa; his siblings, Jake Vande Hoef of Rapid City and Helen Loeffler of Sioux Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Vande Hoef, Gert Hibma, Mary Driesen, Joann Driesen, Mary Koenen, Jim De Bruin, Elaine Van Roekel (Jerrold), Brad De Bruin (Brenda) and Kathy Schelling (Marv). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Netherlands Reformed Christian School.
