He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Hattie; his sister Agnes Koerselman-Hinken; his siblings-in-law, Elvina Meerbeek and Jake H. Van Voorst; and his nephew Mark William Meerbeek.
He is survived by: his siblings, Allen Meerbeek of Rock Valley and Carolyn Van Voorst of Rock Valley. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
