He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Zanten and Fannie Van Zanten (Zwiers); his daughter Barbara Brummel; and his siblings, Cornie Van Zanten (Wilma) and Albertha Moorlag (Dick).
He is survived by: his friends, Roger Morehead and George Veenendahl; his wife Mary Kooistra; his children, Diana Vanden Bosch of Rock Valley, Fonda Van Beek (Gary) of Rock Valley, Terry Van Zanten (Rhonda) of Deadwood and Bonnie Van Otterloo (Tim) of Rock Valley; and his brothers, Albert Van Zanten (Harriett) of Rock Valley, Vern Van Zanten (Geneva) of Pella and Rev. Tony Van Zanten (Donna) of Buffalo Grove, Illinois. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
