It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johanna Vander Schaaf of Rock Valley, Iowa, who passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, William Zanten and Gertrude Van Zanten; her husband Stuart Duane Vander Schaaf; and her sister Bertha Roozeboom. She is survived by : her children, Doug (Bernita) of Sioux Falls, SD and Rachelle Laliberte (Richard) of Macungie, PA; her grandchildren, Andrea Rainbow, Katrin Johnson, Anthony Vander Schaaf, Jordan Laliberte and Marissa Simonian; her great grandchildren, Dorothy, Iris and James Rainbow; her grandchildren, Tatum, Tanner, Cooper Johnson, Abram, Juniper Vander Schaaf and Daniel Nakamori Laliberte; and her brothers, William Van Zanten and Gerald Van Zanten. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
