It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerrit Klarenbeek (Rock Valley, Iowa), born in Alvord, Iowa, who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leendert Klarenbeek and Willemina Klarenbeek (Rozeboom); his siblings, Willemina Den Besten (John), Gertrude Koedam (William), Ray (Dora), Dick, William and Lane Klarenbeek (Jenny); and his brothers-in-law, John Keizer, James Wielenga, Thomas Kooima and Gary Dokter.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Van Beek; his children, Donna Harthoorn (Corwin) of Doon, Barbara Van Beek (Kenneth) of Rock Valley, Pamela Kats (Randall) of Rock Valley, Teresa Koedam (David) of Alvord and Gary Klarenbeek (Aletha) of Inwood, Iowa; his siblings, Jennie Keizer of Sheldon, Elizabeth Dokter of Sioux Center, Ann Wielenga of Hull, Iowa and Clarence Klarenbeek (Mary Ann) of Harrisburg; and his sister-in-law Adrianna Klarenbeek of Inwood. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Netherlands Reformed Christian School.
