She was predeceased by: her parents, Maas Maassen and Tillie Maassen (Driesen); her siblings, Ray Maassen and Eileen Klootwyk; and her great grandchild Jayda Fay Van Voorst.
She is survived by: her husband Jacob W. Rus; her children, Marion J. Rus (Becky) of Rock Valley, Darwin Rus (Helen) of Rock Valley, Shirley Van Voorst of Rock Valley and Tami Van Beek (Jim) of Inwood, Iowa; her sister Sally Koedam of Sheldon, Iowa; and her sister-in-law Joan Maassen of Rock Valley. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 83 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Netherlands Reformed Christian School.
