She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter W. Mouw and Johanna Elizabeth Mouw (Schilt); and her husbands, Wilbert and Vernon. She is survived by: her daughters, Eloise Den Hartog (Jim) of Boyden, Sandra Wynia (Curt) of Rock Rapids and Becky De Ruyter (David) of Le Mars, Iowa; her stepdaughter Kathleen Kaeuffert (Norbert) of Meagkofen, Germany; and also Elizabeth. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church (1921 12th St, Rock Valley, IA 51247). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, Emma's family prefers memorials be directed to the Rock Valley Public Library in her memory.
