He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meerbeek and Hattie Meerbeek (De Boer); his wife Elvina Vanden Bosch; his son Mark; his siblings, Agnes and John; his grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin; and his son-in-law Todd Dykstra.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Meerbeek (Kim) of Lantana Florida, Dan Meerbeek (Sandy) of Tulsa Oklahoma, Tammy Moeller (Mark) of Luverne, Audra Porter (Jeff Griffin) of Summerville, Monica Dykstra of Spirit Lake, Lisa Meerbeek of Rock Valley, Mary Niemeyer of Hudson, Allen Meerbeek (Jodi) of Mankato and Jonathan Meerbeek (Sarah) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; and his sister Carrie Van Voorst of Rock Valley, Iowa.. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
