He was predeceased by: his parents, Bastian Groeneweg and Lydia Groeneweg; his wife Joanna Groeneweg; his siblings, Paul Groeneweg, Leonard Groeneweg (Catherine), Walter Groeneweg, John Groeneweg, Anna Van Ginkel (Henry), Rena De Vries (Dick) and Lydia Terpstra (Clarence); and his great grandchildren, Tryston Blankespoor and Ezra Van Der Brink.
He is survived by: his children, Caron Horstman (Pete) of Doon, Cheryl Rozeboom (Herm), Audrey Nance (Lamar), Arletta De Weerd (Verlyn) of Sioux Center, Sharla Hoogendoorn (Arlin) of Rock Valley, Shonna Blankespoor (Randy) of Rock Valley, Arlin Groeneweg (Carla) of Rock Valley, Donna Van Beek (James) of Ireton and Doris Van Der (Duane); his siblings, Simon Groeneweg (Judy) and Pat Bauman (John); and his sisters-in-law, Marion Groeneweg and Alta Groeneweg. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren.
