With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verlyn Dale Vermeer of Rock Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on July 5, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Vermeer and Hermina Vermeer (Hoksbergen); his siblings, Priscilla Postma (Sam), Alice Sneller (Ed), Gerrit Vermeer (Esther), Esther Popma (Lloyd) and Margaret Scholten (Adrian); and his brother-in-law Milton King Deets.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Vermeer of Rock Rapids, IA; his son Barry Vermeer (Ann) of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Jennifer Gregor (Clark) of Minneapolis, MN and John Vermeer (Eleni) of New York City, NY.; his great grandchildren, Lydia Rosemary and Everett Robert Gregor; and his sister-in-law Barbara Deets of Naples. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
