She was predeceased by: her parents, Rienk Ytsma and Tillie Ytsma (Heddama); her brother James; her husband John Nyhuis; her sons, James Alvin and Robert; her daughter-in-law Carleen Nyhuis; her sister Alice Ytsma; and her stepsister Johanna Krontje.
She is survived by: her siblings, Johanna (Joey), Robert, Verlyn and Byron; her sons, Verlyn Nyhuis of Rock Rapids, IA and Byron Nyhuis of Rock Rapids, IA; her daughter-in-law Janice Nyhuis of Sioux Center, IA; her grandchildren, Bonita Steinhelper (Mark) of Altoona, IA, Juanita Sieglinig (Kyle) of Brush, CO, Wade Nyhuis of Lakewood, CO, Cory Nyhuis of Sioux Falls, SD, Amy Nyhuis of Sheldon, IA, Roger Nyhuis (Nyla) of Sioux Center, IA and Renee Bonham (Keith) of Hawarden, IA; her great grandchildren, Abby, Caleb, Ashley, Ellie, Rachel, Alex, John, Alyssa, Madilyn, Jeremiah and Maci; and also Fred (Jennie).
In lieu of flowers family prefer memorials, which will be directed to Hope Haven.
