It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theodore Hoogendoorn (Rock Rapids, Iowa), who passed away on May 15, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Connie; his parents, John Hoogendoorn and Sadie Hoogendoorn; his siblings, Gilbert Hoogendoorn, Alvin Hoogendoorn, John B. Hoogendoorn, Henrietta Davelaar, Joan Van Veldhuizen, Nellie Burnett and Mary Ann Wynia; and his brothers-in-law, Willie Davelaar, Art Van Veldhuizen, Arie Van Veldhuizen, Albert Maassen, Marvin VandenToorn and James Burnett.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his sons, Timothy Hoogendoorn (Kay) of Rock Rapids, Jeffrey Hoogendoorn (Kim) of Rock Rapids, IA, David Hoogendoorn (Kelli Potter) of Chamberlain, SD and Charles Hoogendoorn (Sandi) of Sioux Falls, SD; his sisters, Margie VandenToorn of Sioux Center, IA and Sadie Schelling (Albert) of Orange City, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Cornelia Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, IA, Arlene Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, IA, Peggy Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, IA, Hermina Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley, IA, Mary Burnett of Minneapolis, MN, Judy Kahl (Ron) of Janesville, WI, Frank Wynia of Rock Rapids, IA, Robert Hein (Karen) of Janesville, WI and Jerry Bauer of Rock Rapids, IA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
