With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norene VanDerStoep of Rock Rapids, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Norene's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Norene has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Dykstra and Tillie Dykstra (Damstra); and her sisters, Charlotte Schmidt (Dean) and Sylvia Wielenga (Peter). She is survived by: her husband Edwin "Bud" Van Der Stoep; her children, Dawn Van Der Stoep (Mike Williams) of North Liberty, Doug Van Der (Mary), Darla Timmer (Darwin) of Ellsworth, MN and Denise Roskam (Richard) of Rock Rapids, IA; and her siblings, Joyce Schmidt (Henry) of Sheldon, IA and Henry Dykstra (Carolyn) of Archer, Iowa. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
