With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary C. Roemen of Rock Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frembgen and Mary Frembgen (McGuire); her in-laws, John and Loretta Roemen; her siblings, David, Jack, Vernon, Roger, Phyllis and Martha; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Schlotfeldt, Larry Childress, Tom McCarty, Robert Sullivan, Ronald Roemen and Evelyn Vermulm.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin; her grandchildren, Daniel, Alan, Jennifer, Christina, Jacklynn, David, Jared, Monica, Paige, Alexander, Tessa, Linnea, Thomas, Lukas, Markus, Caleb, Madelyn and Vivian; her great grandchildren, Melanie, Taylor, Celeste, Natalie, Harper, Isabel, Athena, Bradley, Audrey, Tanner, Braxton, Mackenzie, Gavin and Rhea; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kenley and Eli; her siblings-in-law, Bernadine Schlotfeldt, Eleanor Childress, Carol Roemen, Jane Frembgen, Devona Frembgen, Roger Roemen and Bill Vermulm; and also, Randal Roemen (Mariann), Kathleen Oldaker (Doug), Kenneth Roemen (Lisa), Gregory Roemen (Stacey), Karen Brink, Brian Roemen (Julie), John Roemen, Matthew Roemen (Kecia) and Steve Roemen (Sara). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (1108 S Carroll St, Rock Rapids, IA 51246). A rosary was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
