It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Haberkorn of Rock Rapids, Iowa, born in Watseka, Illinois, who passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Haberkorn (Habby) and Iva Haberkorn; and his sister Jayne. He is survived by: his close friend Debbie Martin; his children, Ben (Colene) of Mound, MN and Allison Kohlhaas (Tim); his grandchildren, Zach, Hudson and Quinn; and his sister Joyce McConkey (Roy).

“Hi Debbie: Pat and I are so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. We have many fond memories of you two from law school, and of our visits to your homes in Des Moines and in Rock Rapids. You obviously don't need me to tell you, but Jim was a remarkable person; always generous, witty and fun to be around. When I think of Jim my first memory is always of seeing him smiling and giving a thumbs up in that great old MG convertible. We treasure our memories of him. David & Pat Dixon”
