He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Koel of Rock Rapids, IA; his children, Gloria Hoekstra (Dennis) of Orange City, IA, Norwin Koel (Bonnie), Alan Koel (Brenda) and Lorri Huitink (Jim) of Sheldon, IA; his sister Nella Duin (Doyle) of Yankton, SD; and his sister-in-law Joan Koel of Primghar, IA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
