She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Reitz and Hazel Bernice Reitz (James); and her husband Jim McGarrahan. She is survived by: her former husband Blaine Gibson; her sons, Barry Gibson of Cedar Rapids, IA and Terry Gibson (Jan Masbarger) of Des Moines, IA; her stepchildren, Dawn Wiebe (Eric) of Palatine, IL and James McGarrahan (Larue Kimble) of Manassas, VA; her grandchildren, Alicia Gibson Rivera of Cedar Rapids, IA, Blaine Gibson of Cedar Rapids, IA, Grayson Gibson of Denver, CO, Gina Gibson of Carroll, IA, Garret Gibson of Des Moines, IA, Sam, Jack and Sydney Wiebe of Palatine, IL; and her great grandchildren, Roman Rivera and Eben Rivera.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
