It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George William Osterhaus of Robins, Iowa, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Osterhaus and Catherine Osterhaus (Liebolt); his wife Margaret Osterhaus; his children, Jane and Paul Osterhaus; his children-in-law, CJ Osterhaus and Donald Polton; and his close friend Helen Lamphier.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Polton of Hiawatha, Alfred Osterhaus of Salem, Chuck Osterhaus (Wendy) of Robins and Patricia Osterhaus of Hiawatha; and his daughters-in-law, Yong, Charlotte and Keitha. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials in George's memory may be directed to St. Luke's Hospice Inpatient Unit or Boy Scouts of America Hawkeye Area Council Offices.
