With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary S. Hackbarth of Robins, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on October 18, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Geraldine Hackbarth (Primus); his wife Ursula Graf; his brothers, Ron Hackbarth and David; his nephew Brian Cosby; his grandparents, Elmer, Bernadine Primus, Arthur and Gertrude Hackbarth; and his parents-in-law, Karl and Lieselotte Graf.
He is survived by: his father Harold Hackbarth of Dubuque, Iowa; his children, Sheila Roe (Tony) of Swisher, Iowa, Eric Hackbarth (Chandra Dowda) of Davenport Iowa and Glen Hackbarth (Amanda) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Hannah, Anika Roe, Jaslyn Davis (Jaydon), Ella and Bryson Hackbarth; his great grandchild Ryder Davis; his siblings, Denny Hackbarth (JoAnn) of Dubuque, Kevin Hackbarth (Ellen) of Rock Island, Jim Hackbarth (Julie) of Eldridge, Judy Cosby of Phoenix, Linda Benson (Keith) of Batavia, Diane Hackbarth (Dumont Moore) of Rockford and Carol Farrell (Pat) of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Hackbarth of Maple Park, Illinois, Karlheinz Graf (Eva) and Martin Graf (Lavinia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
