He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mangold and Blanche Mangold (McEnany); his wife Betty Dale Westerman; his siblings, Leon, John, James Sr., Clair "Bud" Mangold, Joan Grissom, Patricia Duggan and Maxine Stein; and his grandchildren, Amanda Davis and Ryan Mangold.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Mangold (Alan Brink), David Mangold and John Mangold (Heidi); his grandchildren, Drew Mangold, Justin Mangold, Daren Mangold, Carter Mangold and Spenser Mangold; and his great grandchild Ryan Mangold Jr..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (720 29th St SE #2, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
