He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Simon and Velma Simon (Stransky); and his siblings, Vince Simon (Betty), Paul Simon (Pat), Francis Simon and Lucille Sojka (George).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Louise Duwa; his children, Theresa Oaks (Barry) of Gravette and Russell Simon (Angela Niffen) of Riverside; his grandchildren, Nicholas Oaks, Timothy Oaks, Spencer Niffen and Ally Tripses; his great grandchild Everleigh Tripses; his close friends, Waldo and Petie; and also, Carol Lynch (Owen Roth) of Washington, Marvin Simon (Katy) of Riverside, Richard Simon (Barb) of Riverside, Pat Zousel (Dewayne), John Duwa, Bobbi Keating (Brian) and Steve Duwa (Linda).
Memorials may be directed to the Riverside Fire Department or Iowa City Hospice in memory of Bob.
