It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Smouse in Riverside, Iowa, born in Toledo, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Hiram and Margaret Theodosia Avery (Bissell); her husband Ralph Smouse; her brother David Avery; her half-brother Val Avery; and her grandson John Eich.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Metz (Ron), Jeff Smouse (Doris) and Kathy Smouse-Hulse (Larry Hulse); her grandchildren, Christopher Metz, Amanda Bemer (Matt), Ashley Metz, Andrew Miles Hulse (September), Tayler Avery Hulse, Stephanie Eich, Sara Stevens (Jason) and Jordan Wheeler; and her great grandchildren, Daphne Bemer, Maximus Stevens, Madelyn Stevens, Morgan Stevens, Steven Eich, Parker Eich and Hayden Eich.
Memorials in her memory may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in Marshalltown, as she so enjoyed her pets.
