He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeno F. Knebel and Irene Mary Knebel (Gerot); his siblings, Carol Knebel, Dorothy "Dottie" Krantz, Thelda Hill and Teddy Knebel; and his father-in-law Walter Watkinson.
He is survived by: his wife DeAnn of Riverside; his children, Larry Knebel (Janet) of Hills and Lisa Rummelhart (Brian) of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Jacob Rummelhart, Kelly Rummelhart (Houston Herrald) and Eric Knebel; his siblings, Dick Knebel of Iowa City, Harley Knebel (Carole) of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Shirley Slaughter of Iowa City and Liela Horak (Wayne) of Iowa City; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Watkinson of Riverside. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Riverside First Responders in memory of Cannon.
