He is survived by: his wife Muriel Rummelhart; his children, Carrie Peitzmeier of Grimes, Christine Welte (Tom) of Richmond, Janice Thomann (Greg) of Riverside and Timothy Metz (Lisa) of Riverside; his grandchildren, Lauren Conaway (Sam), Allison Lorenzen (John), Mitchell Thomann (Kassi), Abigial Crall (Gabe), Molly Bartheman (Jared), Megan Kanke (Cody) and Anna Welte (Parker Elwell); his great grandchildren, Levi, Tessa, Ben, Oscar, Wiley, Louis, Clay, Cael, Noah and Niah; and his siblings, Ann Walsh of Davenport, Donna Stumpf (Pete) of Morris, Iowa and Jim Metz (Rajet) of Peoria. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
