She was predeceased by: her parents, James Donohoe and Mary Donohoe (Kelly); her husband Edward Shebek; and her sister Jean Stumpf (Charlie). She is survived by: her children, Susan Weber (Robert) of Riverside, Karen Shebek (Brett Dobling) of Cedar Rapids, Dianne Schaefer of Kalona, Mary Miller (Stacey) of Kalona and Jean Meek (Roger) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Blake Shebek (Christina), Logan Serum, Brendan Serum, Brody Miller (Emma), Lindsay Weber, Mackenzie Meek, Ashlyn Weber, Kaelyn Serum, Bricen Miller, Noah Meek and Kendra Schaefer; and her great grandchild Evelyn Rose Shebek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid pandemic, all those who attend must wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Atrium Village in memory of Joan.
