She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy F. and Mary E. Colbert (McKevitt); her husband Walter S. Watkinson; her daughter Betty Hamilton; her son-in-law Loren Knebel; her grandson Jamey Hamilton; her great grandchild Brant Hamilton; and her siblings, Helen Slaughter (Raymond), Johanna Sleichter (Carroll), Robert Colbert (Lucille), Richard Colbert and Timothy Francis Colbert.
She is survived by: her children, DeAnn Knebel of Riverside, Sue Hall of Riverside and Bill Watkinson (Karla) of Kalona; and her son-in-law Charles Hamilton of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Compassus of Washington, Make A Wish Foundation or St. Mary's Catholic Church in memory of Dorothy.
