He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Charles and Blanche Bessie Hotz (Weber); his parents-in-law, Harlan and Mabel Bair; and his brother Eldon Hotz.
He is survived by: his wife Molly Marlena Reed of Riverside; his children, Sharon Ambrose (Doug) of Tiffin, Keith Hotz (Kathy) of Lone Tree and Janyce Ford (Jim) of Lone Tree; his grandchildren, Holly Ambrose, Melanie Jurisic (Josh), Derek Ambrose, Kyle Hotz (Angie), Travis Hotz (Rosery Tudas), Tyler Hotz (Amanda), Craig Ford (Caitlin) and Scott Ford (Trish Richart); his great grandchildren, Mara, Vincent, Abby, Charlie, Tommy, Miles, Scarlett, Claire, Owen, James, Cole and Karah; his brother Marvin Hotz (Carol) of Lone Tree; and his sister-in-law Nancy Hotz of Iowa City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family requests, all who attend to please wear a mask due to COVID.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire Department, Atrium Village or tree plantings at the Lone Tree Community School or Atrium Village in memory of Cecil.
