He was predeceased by: his parents, Iver Hellen and Sarah Hellen (Albertson). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Somers; his children, Bruce Hellen (Renee), Angie Jestrab (Al), Christie Herzan and Carla Ihrke (Galen); his grandchildren, Stacie De L'Etoile (Erik), Jennie Janjua (Josh), Amanda Jestrab, Elizabeth Jestrab, Mitch Herzan, Julia Herzan, Jacob Herzan, Kaitlyn Ihrke and Gabi Ihrke; and his great grandchildren, Dahlia and Brielle De L'Etoile.
