He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Albertson and Ada Albertson (Hove); his wife Irene; his sister Lucille Running (Hartvig); his brother-in-law Stanley Arneson; and also, Orville Hovden, Cora Grice (Harold), Joseph Hovden (Dorothy), Alice Callison (Jack), Oscar Hovden and Ethel Drape (Bud).
He is survived by: his daughter Wanda Swestka (Art) of Protivin, IA; his grandchildren, Shelli Robins (Chris) of Indianola, IA, Kirk Swestka (Cheri) of Wichita, KS and Stacy Straw (Craig) of Alleman, IA; his great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Callie, Kyra Robins, Kaleb Swestka, Avery Straw, Mykaela, Gabby and Joey SanMiguel; his great great grandchildren, Elli Jo, Keagan, Abigail, Lennon and Rowan; his sister Shirley Arneson (Ralph) of Decorah; and his sister-in-law Margaret Arneson of Decorah.
