He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Klein and Peggy Klein; his former wife Frances Bonefas; his daughter Marianne Kozak; his grandchildren, Gregory Klein and Jessie Klein; and his great grandchild Melany Kozak.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Klein (Dawn) of Mission, TX, Mark Klein (Tracy) of Riceville, IA, Joel Klein of Minneapolis, MN, Jeanne Kulow of McIntire, IA, Judy Green of Mason City, IA, Jeff Klein (Paula) of New Haven, IA, Jan Klein (Pam) of Wiley, TX and Michelle Cummings (Tommy) of Riceville, IA; and his stepdaughter Brenda Roethler of Lime Springs, IA. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
