He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Kirchgatter and Elsie Kirchgatter (Bublitz); his son Les Soukup of Ridgeway, IA; his brother Claude Kirchgatter (Janet) of Riceville; his nieces, Jenny Kirchgatter, Renee Kimmich (Brian) of Waterloo, IA and Lori Kirchgatter (Curtis Rockey) of Madison, WI; his great-nephew George Kimmich; and his great-niece Etta Kimmich. He was also cherished by daughter, her husband and two grandchildren.
