Marvin R. Nielsen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marvin R. Nielsen (Renwick, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 23, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Nielsen and Shirley Nielsen (Shelgren); his brother Larry; his parents-in-law, Ray and Dona Gene Mills; and his brother-in-law Charles Medlang.
He is survived by: his wife Monie of Renwick; his children, Melissa Nielsen of Humboldt and Ryan Nielsen (Christine) of Renwick; his grandchildren, Carter, Brielle, Brynlie and Shaylee; his siblings, Vicky Deering (Steve) of Northfield, MN, Rick Nielsen (Jane) of Gilmore City, Shelly Umstead (Steve) of Humboldt and Curt Nielsen (Beth) of Gilmore City; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Medlang of Kensett and Susan Nielsen of Gilmore City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (610 Kelling St, Renwick, IA 50577). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Renwick Fire Department, the Renwick Ambulance Department, or the Swiss Cemetery fund, in Marv's name.
