With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maureen Ann Schroeder of Remsen, Iowa, born in Valley Springs, South Dakota, who passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Hays and Loretta Hays (Kennedy); her husband LeRoy Schroeder; her father-in-law John Schroeder (Mary); and her siblings, Joseph Hayes, Mary Loutsch and Nancy Keller.
She is survived by: her children, Donald (Mary) of Hartford, S. D., Bonnie Schroeder of Daufuskie Island, S. C., Helen Bailey (Bill) of Chippewa Falls and Patti Brodell (John) of Davenport; and her siblings-in-law, Clarence Schroeder (Florence), Ray Schroeder (Florence), Helen Keffeler (Alfred), Elmer Schroeder (Joan), Dominic Schroeder (Valeria), Vernon Schroeder (Louise Beck) and Jeanette Ricke (Clarence). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. And numerous nieces and nephews.
