It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marietta Alesch of Remsen, Iowa, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marietta Alesch to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman Groff and Marian Groff (Hagar); her husbands, Robert Arens of Mary's Catholic Church and Kenneth Alesch of Mary's Catholic Church; her in-laws, Larry Wearth, James Moritz, Paul Pick, Jim O'Connor, Steve Larsen, Betty Moser (Dennis), Ruth Colling (Ray), Jeanette Langholt (Clarance), Anita Zimmer (Vince), Elaine McKown (George), Floyd Arens (Betty), Jim Arens (Lois), Betty Price (Dale) and Marty Arens (Donna); and also, Martin Arens (Elizabeth) and Ray (Mathilda).
She is survived by: her children, Roman Arens (Audrey Navrude) of Remsen, IA, Keith Arens (Denise) of LeMars, IA and Lisa Oban (Harlan) of Dakota Dunes, SD; her siblings, Daniel Groff (Clarice) of Remsen, IA, Fae Groff-Moritz of Remsen, IA and Chris Wearth of Tempe; and her in-laws, Tom Arens (Marlene) of Le Mars, IA, Marlene Pick of Remsen, IA, Jacquie O'Connor of Valley, NE, Kay Johnson (Bob) of Omaha, NE, Claudia Larsen of Omaha, NE and Paul Alesch (Jane) of Lake View, IA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
