He is survived by: his wife Audrey Bird; his children, Steve Matgen (Nancy) of Remsen, Tom Matgen (Mary) of Remsen, Lisa Tracey (Chip) of Omaha, NE, Jim Matgen (Lynn) of Omaha, NE and Mary Schneider (Steve) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Tammy Hoover (Brian), Brian Matgen (Kayla), Michael Matgen (Kristen), Sarah Schwalbach (Travis), Audra Nelson (Sean), Zachary Wurth (Amanda), Thomas Voigt (Mellisa), Andrew Voigt, Thomas Matgen, Ashley Johnson (Tyler), Dan Matgen, Katie Matgen (Dan Self), Benjamin Ayers (Madelyn) and Austin Marcel Ayers (Morgan); and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie DeGroot (Jesse), Langston, Logan, Alexis Hoover, Josie, Mason, Micah, Kian Matgen, Mia, Lily, Hazel, Nolan Matgen, Truman Schwalbach, Oliver Nelson, Leone Voigt, Emma, Isaach, Noah Wurth, Elliot, Audrey Ayers, Adilynn Jo, Theodore Marcel and Henry Ayers.
