She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Utech and Lois Utech; her husband Leo Kauffman; and her siblings, Clinton Utech (Frances), Frank Utech (Sandy) and Charlene Otis (Bob).
She is survived by: her children, Jeanine Penning (Lon) of Le Mars, IA, Jane DeRocher (Dennis) of Merrill, IA and Brad Ufken (Vicki) of Le Mars, IA; her stepdaughters, Laurie Larson of Le Mars, IA and Deann Schmidt of Ankeny, IA; and her siblings, Genevieve Busch (Robert) of Tucson, AZ and Ron Utech of Ottumwa, IA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild.
