She was predeceased by: her parents, John Weiler and Rose Weiler (Niehus); her husband Richard P. Hatz of Mary's Catholic Church; her son Stephen J. Hatz; her siblings, Duane Weiler (Mert), Stanely Weiler (Ernie), Ora, Orla Weiler, Allan Weiler (Doris), Gail Kellen (Bob) and Lavonne Hart (John); and her in-laws, Nick Hatz (Mary), Paul Hatz (Linda), Marian Kellen (Art) and Ginger Bunkers (Louie).
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Hatz of Charlotte, NC, Charles N. Hatz (Debbie) of Iowa City, IA, Thomas Hatz (Debra) of Fort Mill, SC and Judy Pick (Tim) of Ames, IA; and her daughter-in-law Pam Hatz of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Fisch Funeral Home (310 Fulton St, Remsen, IA 51050). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church (121 E 4th St, Remsen, IA 51050).
