With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clifford John Tonsfeldt of Remsen, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mabel Tonsfeldt (Cook); his wife LaVonne Haack; and his siblings, Murl Tonsfeldt (Lillian), Wallis Tonsfeldt and Marion Taylor.
He is survived by: his father August Tonsfeldt; his sons, Denis (Michele) of Waukesha, WI, Steven (Amy) of Remsen and David (Lori) of Fairfax, IA.; his grandsons, Scott (Mikaela), Michael (Christina) and Evan Tonsfeldt; his children, Jenny Robins (Larry), Erik Tonsfeldt (Lindsey), Anna Zak (Nick), Jill Anderson (Scott), Sara Olmstead (Jason) and Kate Becker (Joshua); his sister Joyce Mercer of Storm Lake, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Movylene Haack of Texas, Connie Haack of Marcus, IA and Dee Mulder of Spirit Lake, IA.. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
